10 Things to Do in Saratoga County Before School Starts!



For many of us, August is a time to start thinking about back to school and a more structured routine.  However, there are few weeks of summer left to enjoy and Saratoga County offers no shortage of fun activities! Before you tackle your school supply list, check out our list of the top ten things to do before summer ends and before school starts!

1. Go the TrackSaratoga Race Course 2013

2. Spend a Day at the Beach!

4. Have a BBQ

5. Try a new Indoor Play Place on a Rainy day

6. Visit Hoffman’s Playland

Hoffman’s Playland will be closing for good on September 14th, 2014 so you have a few more weeks to get in on the action.  Hoffman’s is the perfect mini theme park for the under 8 crowd.  No admission charged, just pay for the rides you want!  We also enjoyed Magic Forest in Lake George.

7. Take a Hike or Explore a Park

8. Find a New Game to Play in the Yard

9. Visit a Museum

We have many options for Museums in our area, take a day to explore, CMOSTAdirondack MuseumMiSciWorld Awareness Children’s Museum or NYS Museum and don’t forget the Children’s Museum of Saratoga has many fun programs for kids!

10. Go to a Concert
