All About: The Sara Marie School

Choosing the right kindergarten is an important step in your child’s road to academic success. With one of the largest districts in the area still only offering a half day kindergarten program, many families have opted for a private full day altern ative or a wrap-around program that supplements the public school systems half day program. Others prefer the private school route for their child’s first educational experience because of the smaller class sizes and more individualized attention.

The Sara Marie School, centrally located in Clifton Park, NY, is a private, not-for-profit, educational alternative to the public school system with a curriculum designed around New York State common core standards, highly qualified teachers, and limited class sizes. Named after beloved kindergarten teacher, Sara Marie Chase Duffany, The Sara Marie School strives to honor her memory by creating an educational environment that helps build a strong foundation and love of education through academic achievement, character building education, and a strong involvement within the community.

They also offer an after school program that is open to siblings from the Shenendehowa school district as well. It runs from 3pm to 6pm.
