Special Mother’s Day Event with Albany Kid & Albany Aqua Ducks!

To celebrate Mother’s Day, SaratogaMama , Albany Kid Family Travel and Albany Aqua Ducks are planning a very special event – and we want you to join us!

We are very pleased to announce an invitation-only Mother-Daughter American Girl Garden Tour on May 8, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in Albany, NY.

Details on how to enter this contest are down below.  I’m looking forward to spending a fabulous Mother-Daughter evening out with some of you!

The American Girl Garden Tour

American Girl Mother-Daughter Garden TourCustomized to reflect the unique history of an American Girl doll, the American Girl Garden Tour  is tailored to the girls and dolls present on the trolley tour of downtown Albany.

A group touring with Addy Walker, the African-American doll from the Civil War era, might focus on Albany’s role in the Underground Railroad; while those bringing Kit Kittredge, the Great Depression era doll, might learn about Eleanor Roosevelt and other powerful women from New York State who helped shape our nation.

Along the way, the group will stop to visit beautiful public gardens – including the Moses Statue in Washington Park and Ten Broeck Mansion. And they will enjoy light refreshments at a tea party – with their doll!

  1. My favorite memory is when my oldest daughter first met and held her baby sister. I will never forget the glow in her face! I already “like” (actually love) your FB page and I am on the mailing list 😉

  2. One of my favorite mother/daughter memories is when I turned 16 years old. My mom and I went to dinner at a fancy restaurant, then did some shopping and stayed the night at a really nice hotel. We had a great time together and I felt so grown-up!

  3. Entry #1My favorite mother/daughter memory is when I held my daughter in my arms for the very first time… she was adopted from Russian and we had a picture of her… two months later we were on a plane to go get her… I still remember the feeling of finally holding her at last!!

  4. My daughter collected gifts for children in the hospital in leiu of gifts for her 6th birthday. To celebrate her special day and generosity we went to the American Girl Doll store just the two of us. The best part of the day was just being together. 🙂

  5. My favorite Mother/Daughter moment happened the other day when my 8 year old daughter asked to go our church’s Mother/Daughter banquet. I think she feels the specialness of our relationship and wants to celebrate it! I am a FB fan and I’m on the mailing list, too!
