It’s time again for the annual Festival of Trees in Saratoga! This event is a family-favorite and a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. The Festival of Trees transforms the Saratoga City Center each year into a magical winter wonderland.

Angie and I at last year’s Festival of Trees!
At last year’s festival, we adored oohing and ahhing over each of the exquisitely decorated Christmas trees. After admiring the trees, we were then seated in the dining area for a special ‘sundaes with Santa’. The kids loved eating ice cream and then a little visit with Santa (+obligatory photo!) In the Santa’s Workshop area, the kids enjoyed making crafts and playing games with Santa’s helpers
Helping Neighbors in Need
We’re especially fond of the Saratoga Festival of Trees because in addition to being a fun holiday affair, your admission to the festival helps area families in need via Catholic Charities. Whether it’s counseling for families, Domestic Violence emergency services, HIV/AIDS support groups or services for the elderly, you know that your ticket is going towards a worthy cause.
Visit with Santa at the Saratoga Festival of Trees!
Getting gussied up for a special breakfast with Santa is one of our favorite holiday traditions. Once again this year at the Saratoga Festival of Trees, there are several opportunities to create some special memories with Santa!
Saturday, December 6th 2014 is Family Day where you’ll have four different opportunities to spend some time with Saint Nick. There are three breakfast times, 8am, 9:30am, and 11am, and a Sundaes with Santa at 12:30pm.
Tickets for the breakfast or sundaes with Santa at the Saratoga Festival of Trees are $8/person ALL of which goes directly to the programs of Catholic Charities of Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties.
After your feast, head over to Santa’s Workshop where, for $1/activity, you can write letters to Santa, make your own Christmas crafts, get your face painted or decorate your own cookies – after all, it’s that much sweeter knowing it’s all going to those who need a little help this holiday season.

My son is finally old enough to start this tradition, please!
Making cookies with my daughters.
We love decorating our home’s exterior for Christmas. Usually my brother and I do it at my mom’s house, and he is extremely creative. We have won our town’s lighting contest on various occasions. Just a fun time all around.
Starting a new tradition this year of opening a Christmas eve present with pajamas, movie and cocoa. I can’t wait to see the happy little faces 🙂

Our favorite holiday tradition is making cookies! No matter how bad or good they come out, my daughter loves it.
It is my son’s 2nd Christmas but he was only a few months last year. We are start the Christmas Eve gift box tradition with new Christmas pjs, cocoa, a Christmas movie and popcorn. It is special because it is similar to our tradition when I was growing up of opening one present on Christmas Eve. We would love to have Sundaes with Santa.
We love putting up the tree to Christmas music. Then watching the twinkling lights while enjoying hot chocolate.
We would love to go. Thank you for the chance to win!
