Your Help Needed for Floyd Warriors Project Easter Bunny 2014!

Two years ago I learned about about a wonderful Saratoga Springs organization called Floyd Warriors. Their mission is very simple: to help families cope with cancer, one household at a time.  Floyd Warriors assists families with necessities like getting meals delivered, houses cleaned, and kids cared for while a parent is undergoing treatment for cancer. This Easter season, the organization will be embarking on its 5th annual Project Easter Bunny.

Donations of toys and candy needed!

The idea of Project Easter Bunny began back in 2009 when Floyd Warriors founder and Saratoga mom Lisa Morahan was too sick from chemotherapy treatments to make an Easter basket for her son.  In 2010, enough toys and candy were collected to make up 100 baskets, in 2012, 190 and in 2013, 225 baskets were made! Their goal this year is 250! Several area cancer organizations and hospitals caring for cancer patients will receive this year’s bounty so children of those in treatment will have a nice big basket to open on Easter morning.
