Discovery Center Recreation – Aerial Acrobats: Hawks and Owls of the Albany Pine Bush

Description

Powerful, talented, and gentle giants of the Pine Bush. Hawks and owls are year-round residents. Learn why the Pine Bush is an important habitat for these birds of prey. Come join us for an informative program about these remarkable creatures. Discover how they hunt, their unique calls, and distinctive characteristics. There will be a short indoor presentation followed by a short hike. Binoculars provided.

Pre-registration is required for all events.
Fee: $3.00/person, $5.00/family, Children under 5 free.
Please plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the start of the program to purchase your ticket.
Tickets can also be purchased in advance of the program at the Discovery reception desk.

Note: Programs begin promptly at times listed. Please notify us if you need to cancel your registration so we can open your spot up to the waiting list.

Groups with 8 or more people, please call us for special accommodations.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are unable to attend the event for which you are registered, you must cancel online and then please confirm in person or by phone at least 48 hours in advance of the event.* If you do not cancel within the allotted time, your program fee will be forfeited. It is, however, permissible to send or designate another person to use your program registration. *If you are cancelling at least 48 hours in advance and really, really, really want a refund please stop by the Discovery Center gift shop. All refunds must be made in person.

DIRECTIONS TO APB DISCOVERY CENTER: From I-87 take exit 2W (Rt 5 West, Central Avenue). Follow Rt 5 for about 2 miles then turn left onto Rt 155 (New Karner Rd). Continue on Rt 155 for about 1.2 miles. The Discovery Center is located on the left at 195 New Karner Road. (518)456-0655
