Each Summer Camp day is guided by a Language and the respective main Art Form. The theme of the Day recurs. Summer Camp program is open to kids ages 2-17. You can register for the full week, or choose specific days.
Sample Daily Schedule:
9:05 – 9:15 Morning Circle, Greeting in Italian – A folk song or a verse in Italian
9:30 – 10:30 DRAMA – Improvisation, Scene Creation, Character, Speech, and Presentation 10:30 – 11:00 Healthy vegan Snack – Story Time
11:00 – 11:30 Games or walk
11:30 – 12:00 Songs, Circle, Review, THANK YOU in Italian, Dismissal
Monday, Italian - DRAMA – Improvisation, Scene Creation, Character, Speech, and Presentation
Tuesday, French – MUSIC – Improvisation, Group Instruments, Rhythms, Singing, Voice development (Werbeck), and Presentation
Wednesday, German – WATERCOLOR (large format) – Preparing the Board, Mixing Colors, Brush Strokes, Meditative Involvement, Painting, and Seeing Each Other’s Work
Thursday, Oshivambu (Namibia, Africa) – FORAGING AND FOOD PREPARATION (organic vegan + eggs) – Looking for ONE wild edible plant, Preparing an interesting, yummy dish with it, preparing a Raw Chocolate Dish, Packaging tasters to take home, decorating our meal
Friday, Spanish – SPEECH and MONOLOGUES (or individual SINGING) – Voice and Breathing, Movement, Memorizing, Volume and Presentation of the Monologue, and Listening to the Others
FINAL FEST: — Saturday, August 25, 11:00 am – 2:30 pm
GRAND Presentation of all part-time and full-time students, followed by Pot-Luck Pick-nick
FEES: Two week participation: $390, 2 for one if paid before July 15
One week participation $225, 2 for one if paid before July 15
