Saratoga Springs’ East Side Skatepark will host the 2012 Summer Shredtactular SKATEJAM for local skateboarders.
“Most of us skaters have an ethos that is loose and humorous so compitition isn’t the end game with our passion. So if we are told we can’t do something like have a best trick contest, we find creative alebeit slightly rebellious ways around restrictions. So that may explain why we decided to have a wors trick contest. It’s a way of flaunting authority and creating a slightly twisted event at the same time,” said Charlie Samuels, the event organizer for the contest.
Be sure to enjoy music, food, the worst trick contest, raffles and prizes.
Prizes will include hard and soft goods from Active Ride Shop and Powell Peralta Skateboards.
