  1. I encourage you to share your daycare experience with us here, good, bad or ugly. Share your thoughts!

  2. We started at Maple Leaf (in Malta) back in June and have LOVED our experience so far. Our girls are 2 1/2 & 3 1/2 though, so i’m not sure how they would be for babies.

  3. Okay, I’m here again. I looked into the Christian preschools and they sound great, but I need something that provides childcare as well. Any suggestions for preschool/daycare in a Christian environment.

    Thanks,
    April

  4. Hi Again,
Did you check out St. Paul’s Lutheran Church? They offer a childcare program. Also, I know that Children’s Academy in Malta is built upon a ‘Christian foundation’ with a strong focus on morals and values. If I think of any others, I’ll reply!

  5. discover what its like to park in your own private garage and enjoy the beautiful wooded surroundings.

  6. Saratoga Mama, are there any mother’s day out programs in the area? We have 1 year old twins and a third on the way. I’d love to get them into a program this fall so they have special “big kid time” and I get some downtime with the new baby. Thanks so much.

  7. The ABC Nursery School in Clifton Park, is NYS licenced. We also, offer an After School Program and a Kindergarten Wrap. Most of our teachers have their Masters.

Can we be added to the list?

  8. Hello,

My son will be attending Division Street in the fall. (Or at least that is the zone we live in, still waiting for registration to go through.) Can anyone recommend before and after school care for my nine year old son? I am looking for something other than the Y.

  9. A New England Nanny provides before and scfter school care.

  10. September, I will have 2 full time openings, and many before and after school openings. on Lake Avenue bus line. M-F, 6am-7pm. I’m in the process of getting Navy referrals to…

  11. My family will be moving to Burnt Hills in January. The school district only has half day kindergarten. Any recommendations for child care for the other half of the day and after school?? Thank you!!

  12. I had my daughter at KinderCare in Clifton Park from 3 months old- 2 years old and found the staff and teachers to be amazing. As my daughter’s routines changed they were willing to change and adjust with us. I was also impressed that each teacher knew my daughter by name. She would still be going there, but we now have an infant and weekly tuition for an infant and a toddler was just too much for our income.

  13. Greetings, I have a newborn and will be going back to work in the fall. Does anyone have a recommendation for a part time nanny. I need a coupe of days every other week. Thank you.

I am touring a few daycares in Malta.

  18. Hi, looking for options in the area for daycare that provide a strong nature-based, learning environment. Unfortunately Apple Blossom is full, but would love a recommendation for something along those lines (Waldorf, Montesorri). Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

  19. We started our 18 month old son at North Country Academy in Clifton Park. It was his first time in a full time daycare setting and the staff really helped us feel comfortable and reassured us when we had questions. They are super friendly and the teachers do a great job. The building is clean, organized and has nice outdoor playgrounds for different age groups. Even the young toddlers share a curriculum which make learning fun and they have themed weeks and water play days etc. Daily craft projects and healthy meals and snacks. We couldn’t be happier. He barely said a few words and now comes home with a new word every day. Very exciting for us.

  20. Little Wonders Childcare is the perfect choice for childcare. We have been sending our son to Julie for about 1 year and are thrilled with the care she provides. She is a mom herself and can relate (and share ideas) about parenting. She is one of the most patient and loving people I have met. Julie is accommodating, has an impeccably clean and safe home, and plans days full of play, crafts, reading, naps, and other fun. After less than one full year my husband and I feel like Julie is an extension of our family. I can honestly not imagine having made a better choice.

  21. Hello I was wondering if I can be placed in your listings, My name is Melissa Umana, I am a Ballston Spa mother owner of a Little Steps Academy Childcare, an in home daycare that offers, preschool curriculum in a Christian environment, Spanish lessons, ABC Mouse and computer lessons. I also have a huge fenced in back yard, participate in the Food program and offer all meals and I am fully trained and licensed by the NYS OCFS. We enjoy the outdoors and go on walks and field trips as much as we can.
I am open M-F 7 to 5 and currently have openings for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

  22. Hi,

My husband and I are expecting our first and are looking for full-time infant care in the Saratoga Springs area. We’ve looked at a few centers but are interested in possible in-home care. Does anyone have a recommendation for a loving, clean and safe in-home care facility? Thank you for your help!

  24. Jeannette Ernst says:

I’m going back to work soon and need childcAre for my 16 month little girl. Are there any places in saratoga springs that have video cameras that you can log in and check on your child?

  25. lil' lighthouse daycare &learning center says:

We have been licensed at a different location and have just been re-licensed yesterday and are very excited. We are now located in Malta. We would love to be listed on this sight. We do currently have openings and have a great program. Awesome learning environment with great rates. Thanks so much!

  26. I’m looking for recommendations for daycare (center or in-home) for my 20 month daughter, in Saratoga or Wilton. Any personal experiences would be appreciated, thank you!

  27. Imagination Home Daycare is located in Schuylerville, right off Route 29 by the Apple Orchard. Very professional, structured home daycare. Miss Deanna is a very nurturing educator & kept my son busy, with crafts, writing, stories, and a lot of playing for 3 years until he reached Kindergarten age this fall. Great group of kids and affordable. Would definitely recommend!

  28. I need daycare, I’m moving to ballston spa with an 18 Mon old. Must be open until at least 530pm… it would be 3 or 4 days a week… reasonable rates… thank you

    • Gabrielle says:

Well I know a great one but its in Wilton off Travers Rd. Its Pumpkin Patch daycare and I know she has openings within the next week. Talk to Angela, I am sure she will work with you.

  29. I live in Ballston Spa and am looking for daycare for my 3 year old daughter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! She does have food allergies including nuts and pork.

    • Gabrielle Story says:

Are you willing to drive to Wilton? Pumpkin Patch has openings and Angela is totally great with working around allergies. I know there is a child there that has similar situation.

  30. Gabrielle says:

I was curious if anyone has any experience with Apple Blossom Bunch. We are supposed to start our daughter in the camp and so far our experience with the management has been less than organized and professional than I prefer. It seems like a great program though and I would love to hear something positive.

  31. I am relocating to Ballston Spa and I am currently looking for childcare for my 2 year old and 5 year old. Please help…. Thanks.

  32. North country academy is a great school with locations in Delmar Latham Clifton Park Saratoga and Queensbury also they own Milestones in Ballston spa check them out

  33. My husband and I are moving to the Ballston Spa area in August and are looking for nanny/childcare for our 9 month old and our 3 year old.
We have a unique situation as my husband is a firefighter so he works shifts and I work FT remotely from home. Our children only do daycare/school PT when he is in the firehouse. So traditional daycare doesn’t really work for us as he works alternating shifts that change weekly
    • (Month rotates as – Monday/Friday, Tuesday/Saturday, Wednesday/Sunday, Thursday/Monday) – “Weekdays only” – Scheduling can be provided a month or a year in advance as the shift does not change.
Please let me know if you there are any options that work within our schedule. Feel free to email me any with questions.
Thank you, I appreciate your time.

  34. I am looking for recommendations for a sitter (in saratoga springs) who is available in the evenings and weekends. More so for “date nights”.
We just moved to the area and would love to find a reliable sitter.

  35. My two children attend Learning to Know in Saratoga (at the Springs complex near Hannaford) and we have had a really great experience there so far. The teachers are super interactive and have a really great curriculum for my daughter who is in the 3’s room. I also have a 7 month old son who is in the infant A room, and the teachers are fantastic in that room as well. The center is a bit inconspicuous, but love the fact that it is sort of hidden from the main road. I wouldn’t leave my children with anyone else.

  36. Hi,
We recently opened a bilingual (English/Spanish) daycare in Ballston Spa. We have more than 10 years of experience providing childcare services. We welcome children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. If you are looking for flexibility, we are open to work on an arrangement that fits your needs. In addition to providing high quality care our daycare encourages your child’s development to help him/her get ready for school.
For more information please visit us at http://www.auntjulia.com.
    Thank you,
    Elizabeth

  37. My son loves Miss Donna’s Daycare which is located in Malta and NYS Licensed. He has been going there since he was 4 months old and he just turned 3. Miss Donna is wonderful! She spends time playing with the children as well scheduled school time and has learned so much. I always recommend Miss Donna’s Daycare to all of my friends.

  38. So I was thinking about moving up into that area but my only problem would be the job i would be taking has me starting at 5 or 530 in the morning. I have a 5 year old who is in kindergarten but she would need before and after school care. I know its hard to find daycares that are open that early and I was wondering if you knew any in the area up there?

  39. I go to see everyday some web pages and information sites to read posts, but this web site provides feature based content.

  40. I highly recommend sending your child to Brite Beginnings Early Learning & Development Center. First off, their location is perfect, directly across the street from Shen. My children have been going there for years now and we could not be happier with our experience, from the wonderful staff to the great summer programs, our family truly loves going there. It has become our home away from away. I would definitely look into sending your child there! They are now under new ownership and Kim, the new owner, is so accommodating and flexible, we are happy to see the great improvements she will be making to the center.

  41. Hi! We just had our second child in September and I am getting ready to go back to work. Unfortunately the infant room at the daycare my toddler is attending is full and we can’t get our infant in until April. We are in need of a short term -full time care for our 12wk old son.

    Please Help!

  42. Hi! I am moving to the area at the end of the month and have two children, a 3 year old and an 11 week old. Our house is going to be in Mechanicville, We are looking for full-time day care hopefully beginning in January. I have been touring centers and have our name on a couple waiting lists. I would love feedback from other mother’s about centers you would or would not recommend as we continue our search. We also do not really know anyone in the area so any advice on anything about living here is welcome :) Thanks!!

  43. Hi,
