Comments

  1. She is certified as a childbirth educator, birth and postpartum doula by several organizations and is also a trainer for ICEA and DONA.

  2. Heather, our lactation consultant, worked with her on breast feeding and we have been giving both mom and baby round the clock care.

  3. Does anyone have a ob/gyn doctor that they recommend(female). Just moved here and also found out I’m pregnant.

    Thanks,

  4. I’m a local photographer specializing in newborns under 2 weeks old. I would love to get the word out however possible!

  5. I am a licensed massage therapist, certified in Pregnancy massage, a Reiki practitioner, an Integrative Energy worker among many other healing modalities. I enjoy working with women through all stages of pregnancy, including pre pregnancy and post pregnancy. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions at (518) 209-1150. My best to you.

  6. Mary Beth says:

I am a newcomer to Saratoga as well, and I am looking for an infertility clinic. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

  7. Mary Beth, I would suggest you book a consult with Albany IVF. Obviously given their name, they will likely favor IVF however they do provide other treatments. If you are looking for someone to do testing and discuss less invasive options, perhaps Dr. Ellen Biggers, OB-GYN with Seton health may be able to help? She is great with serving the array of women’s needs during reproductive years.

  8. Hi Mamas!
I’ll be moving into the area in about 6 months or so and need to find a homebirth midwife who does routine well woman care. I want great care for myself and the option of home births for future children. I currently have 2 homebirthed children ages 2 and 1. I see the list above but am more interested in hearing from personal experiences. Is it sad that the one person I’ll miss the most when I move is my midwife? I love her!

  9. Lisa Cartier and Heidi Homer offer Holistic Birth and Natural Fertility Coaching, Monitrice/Birth Doula services, Post Partum Doula Care, Childbirth Education, Certified Lactation Counseling, Licensed Massage Therapy, Reiki and Integrative Energy Therapy. Serving the Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs area in upstate NY. Please call for details (518) 209-1150. Namaste :-)

  10. Moving to the area and looking for a Doula, possibly a midwife. I would like a birthing center where I can deliver in a tub, but if that is not possible, I am seeking a home birth – help!

  11. Bonnie Farrelly says:

    Hi Prenatal Goddesses,
I am a prenatal, postnatal and restorative yoga teacher. I teach prenatal classes at Saratoga Springs Yoga on Phila Street and at the Wilton Branch of the Saratoga Regional YMCA. I also teach privates and semi-privates along with yoga at Congress Park during the spring and summer. Prenatal yoga includes yoga poses, labor poses, breathing techniques, meditation, imagery and laughter. If you have any questions please email me at [email protected]. Keep smiling!!

  12. Hi, I am a first time mom to a three month old. Please, whatever you do, do NOT hire Lisa Cartier. Wishing you all health and happiness

  13. I’m newly certified as a Childbirth Educator and Birth Doula through CBI, I am looking to work part time as well as teach and I’m looking to hook up with some other Doulas that I could use a back up support in the event I could not attend a birth. I also offer private Childbirth classes. Just looking for some contacts and some advice. This site looks extremely helpful and supportive of many. Any help you could give me would be great. I’m working on my Devine Doula website, should be up and running by June I hope!

  14. After my first daughter was born, I paid $200 to participate in an 8-week group for moms with babes the same age as mine. The group met once a week and was facilitated by a lactation consultant. It was the best money I have ever spent as all the moms became close and remain great friends and support for one another. I am looking for something like that in/near Saratoga as I’ll be bringing my newborn home from NICU around the beginning of August. Any recommendations on a group most appreciated! Thanks, Meghan

  15. Looking for pro-life OB Practice with Dr. that delivers at Saratoga Hospital; any suggestions? Thanks, Ellen

  16. Only Myrtle street has privileges at Saratoga Hospital currently.
