My hair had been lacking style for way too long so I was extremely eager at the chance to work with THE Alayne Curtiss from Make Me Fabulous in Ballston Spa. Alayne and her team at MMF are the go-to gals for beauty; from stunning wedding makeup, to nails, waxing, facials, and of course hair!
Make Me Fabulous recently moved from Milton Ave in Ballston Spa (next to Coffee Planet) to a brand new and gorgeous location on Front Street (near Iron Roost) in Ballston Spa. The much larger space, bright lighting and chic décor make for a perfect location to get fabulous. The boutique carries wonderful products from Bare Escentuals, Philosophy, Bumble & Bumble, Kevyn Aucoin, The Balm, and many more skincare and makeup lines.
My Not-So-Fabulous Before Pictures!
Last Thursday afternoon, I snapped a few before pictures of my hair and embarked on my new style journey. My hair is a beast; extremely thick and wavy with different textures, and no style to speak of. I knew Alayne had her work cut out for her, but with her 18+ years of experience in the industry, I had no doubt in my mind she’d be able to tackle it!
My only criteria was that I wanted to remain blonde. I put complete trust in Alayne for length, cut and style. She was almost giddy at times and seemed genuinely excited to do my hair! Looking around and hearing all the other stylists talk, they all shared her passion for their work.
My time at Make Me Fabulous was relaxing, fun, and overall enjoyable; the way a salon visit should be!
Busy mama’s rarely take the time out for themselves so when we do, it needs to be enjoyable!

I left the salon feeling great. I haven’t been this happy with my hair in years! My husband, the toughest critic gives it two thumbs up. The color is rich and gorgeous, the cut falls perfectly around my face and is something can replicate at home! I’m so thrilled to finally have a hair style, and lots of new friends at Make Me Fabulous!
If you’ve only known Make Me Fabulous for makeup, I highly recommend you consider them for all of your style needs, from waxing, nails, facials and especially for hair! I’m so glad I made the switch and finally love my hair again.

You look totally different! I love the new cut and style. Don’t you always feel like a million bucks right after your hair is done?!!! Now the true test, doing it on your own. I can’t wait till the fall arrives, so I can wear my hair down for a change. My apt. is booked for this week there! My favorite salon. I also had them do my wedding makeup and hair. Truly the place to go for great service.
