Saratoga Independent School

Saratoga Independent School offers a fun-filled, theme-based summer camp program following the academic year. Registration for camp begins on February 25! Each week includes creative movement, arts & crafts, music, sports and more! Our camp dates and themes are listed below. The program runs daily, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Early drop off is available starting at 8:30 AM and is $5 per child. Please email our Office Manager at [email protected] for more information.

For parents in need of additional coverage, we will be offering an afternoon childcare program. The hours of operation are 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. The cost is $10 per hour per child.

Come join Go Kids as we send off summer with a fun FULL day camp including games, arts and crafts, sports and much more at three locations this summer, Shenentaha Creek Park.  Camp is open to children in grades K-3.

Campers should come prepared with comfortable clothing, a snack, lunch, water bottle and clothing to play water games. Sneakers are required.  Wrap around care is available for an additional fee.

North Country Horses Summer Camp

Our riding and horsemanship camp is a fun way to introduce new riders to the wonderful world of horses and expand the education of more experienced riders.

Days are filled with horse activities geared towards developing riders into accomplished horse people. Riders learn how to handle and care for horses safely and properly. We work with the students to provide them with an educational, fun-filled horse experience they will never forget.

More experienced riders will have the opportunity to improve and advance their riding skills. Our creative summer equestrian riding camp program provides extensive riding and lesson time for children of all ages.

Program Fees and Registration Info
Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit must be paid at time of registration. Camp cost is $300.00 per week. A registration form must be turned in with your deposit. The remaining balance is due 30 days before camp begins.
Camp will begin each weekday at 9:00 am and finish at 4:00 pm. Before or after camp care can be arranged.

Camp Little Notch 2014 – An inspiring Girls’ Camp and Wilderness Trip Program in the Adirondack Mountains
The life-changing experience that builds character and confidence,  Camp Little Notch is a place where all girls can belong! We offer one- and two-week sessions for girls, ages 7 – 17. Campers are grouped by similar age and discover their strengths and unique voices as we support them through the transition to adulthood. Camp Little Notch connects girls of diverse backgrounds with each other, positive mentors, and the land. We provide opportunities to develop responsibility, resourcefulness, wellness, creativity, and teamwork skills. Activities include swimming, canoeing, sailing, team building, ropes course, yoga, creek walks, wildlife observation, hiking, outdoor cooking, arts and crafts, music, and overnight camp-outs.

CAMP STARHITCH GETS EPIC! E.P.I.C.- EXCITING PLAY-FILLED INTERACTIVE CAMP
Camp EPIC runs for 8 one-week sessions. This camp is for children having completed Kindergarten through entering 5th grade. Campers will be engaged in adrenaline pumping games, archery, pool play, nature exploration, sports enrichment, interactive field trips, team building, the arts, and character development! You may choose to attend day camp for one week or any combination of weeks.

TRAVEL CAMP
Join us for an adventure-packed summer. This program provides campers entering fifth grade through tenth grade an opportunity to travel everyday to fun-filled locations. Campers have a chance to explore different summer activities: amusement and water parks, outdoor sports, fairs, and horseback riding. Travel Camp conducts 8 one-week sessions. Join us for one week or for all, this is your choice.

Located at the Saratoga Springs Branch, most day trips depart at 9:00 am and return by 4:30 pm. Campers will be grouped according to age and supervised by experienced adult staff. A 1:10 ratio ensures a safe, fun, and quality camping experience. This program is popular, so register early.

Camp Northwoods offers an exciting program of sports, cultural arts, nature study and relaxed play for children.

The program draws on the rich and varied resources of Skidmore College and the surrounding area. The camp’s home base is Falstaff’s Pavilion on the Skidmore College campus, but campers frequent the Williamson Sports Center, Schick Art Gallery, Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery, and Zankel Music Center. The daily enrichment activities led by the qualified staff are supplemented by weekly field trips to recreational and historical sites, and visits by special guests.

Children entering grades 1-6 will also enjoy activities that include arts and crafts, ceramics, games, hiking, and daily swim time. Our goal is to provide a variety of fun activities that happily challenge the imagination, intellect, and body. We hope you will join us this summer.

Application Fee: $40 (nonrefundable)

Tuition for each 2-week Sessions is: $440

Tuition for the 1-week Session is: $240

Please Note: A 50% deposit is required at the time of registration. $100 per camper, per session of your 50% deposit is a nonrefundable. Your 50% deposit will be credited towards the cost of tuition, and $100 of your deposit (per camper, per session) will be forfeited if registration is canceled or changed for any reason.

Skidmore College Summer Sports Camps

Skidmore College also offers a wide array of Sports Camps from June through August for children of all ages. Choose from baseball, lacrosse, swimming, basketball, tennis, soccer, volleyball and field hockey. Children learn the concept of teamwork while acquiring the necessary skills for his or her sport of choice. Adults, novice or experienced, can participate in a rowing program offered throughout the spring, summer and fall at the Boat House located on beautiful Fish Creek. All other programs are held on the Skidmore Campus at the Sports and Recreation Center and/or the adjacent fields.

The Malta Summer Recreation Program is a six-week program for children entering Kindergarten through ninth grade. Children have the option of attending a weekly off-site trip for an additional fee that may extend the camp hours. This structured, well supervised program licensed by the New York State Health Department provides an opportunity for children to use their summer, leisure time constructively.

(*No camp on 7/4/2014.)

Shenantaha Creek Park offers the summer recreation program for grades K – 2nd & grades 3rd – 6th Monday – Friday 9:30am -12:30pm.

Malta Community Park offers the summer recreation program for grades K- 2nd & grades 3rd – 5th Monday – Friday 9:30am -12:30pm.

A Teen Program for grades 6th – 9th is held at the Malta Community Park which is offered Monday – Thursday 9:30am – 12:30pm.

Field Trips: Field trips for all ages are available on a limited basis this year. Registrations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. So sign up early!

CAMP MALTA, a full day program, is held at the Malta Community Center. This NYS Health Department licensed program is supervised with professional counseling staff. This program is open to children entering Kindergarten through Fifth grades in the fall of 2014. Participants enjoy summer days packed with fun activities such as; sports, crafts, games, movies, library time, science/nature activities and special guest programs. In addition, campers participate in swimming once a week and one field trip per week at no additional cost!

WSWHE BOCES Gifted & Talented Resource Center offers students in grades 1-12 opportunities to particpate in Culinary Arts, STEM Academy, and World Languages during our summer camps. Camps start July 7th and run through July 25th. Students can register for one, two or three week sessions. Camps run half day from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm or from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Full day programs run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Before and after care are available from 8:30 am to 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
