What is a Bluum Box & Why do I Need it?

A few months ago I had the pleasure of receiving a 3 month subscription to Bluum. It’s a monthly box which comes by mail, full of samples of products for mom & baby. So far I have received 2 out of my 3 boxes and have been so impressed that I needed to share it with you!

If the packaging was any indication of what’s inside, I was already hooked.  Each Bluum box comes packaged in a cool outer box that is easy to spot in the mailbox.  A nice sturdy Bluum cardboard box holds all the goodies and could easily be recycled for tons of other household uses.

November Bluum Box | Things for KidsEach box contains around 6 samples/products that are chosen around a central theme.  You don’t know what goodies will be inside, which is for me a huge part of the fun!  The theme of November’s box was “Have you heard?”, and contained the ‘best kept secret’ products of other Bluum mama’s.  What an exciting array!

Product 1:  Dr. Robin’s Skin Care (Sunscreen for Children sample & Daily Moisture Cream sample) I haven’t been able to use the sunscreen sample yet but here’s what I can tell you. It’s water resistant, contains no parabens, phthalate, or fragrance, and has quick fade technology for easy application. Also contains quinoa & oat protein for soothing hydration, and has an SPF of 30+. I did use the Daily Moisture Cream for Children on a 2 yr old’s dry little legs and was very impressed! It rubbed in quickly and wasn’t at all greasy. It’s made for normal, sensitive & eczema prone skin.

Product 2: Baby Gourmet (Juice Pear & Garden Greens baby food). This was a deluxe full size sample. My friend tested it with her 8 month old and the results were delish! She ate the entire pouch in one sitting! This is an organic baby food and it comes in a handy, resealable, pouch.

Product 3: CJ’s BUTTer Plus. This was a great product. It’s cloth diaper safe for all you cd’ing moms out there! Not only for the bum it worked great on Bluum Box November | Things for Kidschapped cheeks, and is also recommended for eczema. This is also an unscented product.

Product 4: HuggaMind Baby Symbolizer iPhone/iPad app. This was a coupon to download the app for free! It was a fun app that I tested on both my iPhone & iPad with a 6 month old. It stimulates brain development and motor skills. There’s 2 ways it works, interactive play or slideshow mode. With slideshow mode there’s 34 slides set on a timer.

Product 5: Strivectin Wrinkle Cream – SD. I may not be very old but I have some dark circles under these eyes LOL. This cream works for stretch marks & wrinkles. It’s highly coveted & a regular size bottle retails for $135 for 5oz! The sample was a full 3 week supply (0.75 oz).  Apply twice daily & you should see results within 2 weeks!

Product 6: A collectable little magnet with a bumble bee buzzing around on it.

If you really like the samples that come in your Bluum box you can purchase them from Bluum (although certain products may not be available yet). The December box, themed Goodnight Moon was equally impressible. It contained a wooden toy block, a coupon for Little Pim (second-language products for ages 0-5), Apothederm stretch mark cream, MiniDrops soothing single use eye drops, 2 packets of Oh Baby organic body butter, and Skin Free Skincare sleep tight pillow spritz.

Bluum boxes come in either a 1 month, 3 month, or 12 month membership and there’s also an option to gift them to a friend. Plans start at $9/month for an annual membership month, and go up to $12/month if you want single month boxes. What a fun shower gift or newborn present these would make!
